Frozen Lake Poem by Abdul Wahab

Frozen Lake

Too many emotions unexpressed spoil my soul
Words after words unsaid piled up and frozen into a lake
Roughed up very badly by a lousy tough wind
And always kept awake by the sound of cracking
But I melt into water when I meet with you;

Unable to hold back I turn into a stream
In swing and swaying we flow into a river
I talk and talk in the course of travelling
And do not stop until I become empty
At the end of the day we slow a bit
And with great delight silently we fall into a sea.
