Frozen Tears Poem by sam naser

Frozen Tears

The sight of you I cannot bear.
You change my brown eyes to silver.
You freeze my tears.

Your voice is empty.
Had a spot that used to carry
part of your heart up into it.
Now your tears have frozen your
heart and sealed it shut.

I tried to smile
but it came upside down.
I tried to nod
but it came out sideways.
The nearly silent patter of tears
adorns the room
each tear
a different heartbreak.
You ask whats wrong,
never ask me whats wrong,
for the answer will always be you.

Tears are freezing all around me
trapping memories of happiness in them
never to thaw again.
