Fuel Scarcity Poem by Frank Adie

Fuel Scarcity

They painted subsidy black,
And had it sacked;
Now the queues are back,
And our cars are parked.

They said if subsidy is removed,
Automatically the queues would disappear,
We thought about it and approved,
What more do they need to repair?

Why must fuel be scarce when we need it most?
The yuletide is here again,
And transport is now at a high cost,
Please don't tag it "hate speech" if we complain?

We desire a change, but not this ‘change'.
Nigerians are going through hell,
And fuel scarcity is causing more damage,
It is Christmas, we want to travel and we need fuel.
