Full Figured Poem by Anjell Bryan

Full Figured

Even if the folds of flesh on my chest
Aren’t really breasts yet
Though I have these full lips
And barely-there hips
Tiny everywhere
And short, thin hair
Looking for a behind
That I can’t seem to find
Too tall to hide
With gaps too wide
Even with my small face and big, bulby eyes
Oh no! I will not stand back and be shy
Though ‘fluffy’ is the word of the day, my head is held high
‘Cause I have a full-figured personality
Curved in the right places and voluptuous in the mind
Enough cushion for pushing out more genius one day at a time
My intelligence puts flesh where there were only bones
And the weight of my laughter is heavier than I am in pounds
Olive-figured with an obese state of mind
It’s not every day you meet someone of my kind.

What a wonderful and descriptive poem, with well thought out imagery. Keep writing. This also seems to conceal a little comedy, which hides in the background. A good poem Steve
