Full Moon Afterglow Poem by Thomas McKelvey

Full Moon Afterglow

Her gaze is sublime,
as warm as porch lights,
inviting me into her embrace

Her head tilts
in that cute, affectionate way,
curious, with intimate questions in her eyes

Her lips curl and purse,
the prettiest smile I've ever seen,
softly whispering to my heart, which flutters like butterflies

I am a feather
she makes me breathless,
as my body feels so light in her essence

Her hands caress me,
softly, delicately, but sure,
fingers deftly dancing, effortlessly

She pulls me in,
grounding me in this moment,
a gentle reminder of her safe harbor

Her hand settles,
contented and serene,
quietly absorbing my heartbeat's ardor

Her smile is radiant,
I feel illuminated by her love,
bathing in the glow of her countenance
