Furrowed Brow Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Furrowed Brow

A furrowed brow; a man of sixty;
plodding along

A furrowed brow reading
reading a paper

Considering this he said and
then came to considering that

the furrowed brow speaking
turned round
and round

full of self-assurance; as a
blindfolded man turned round and round
as does the donkey round
the watermill
or Ixion in his condemned
agony.
