Gamble Poem by Anurag Talukdar

Gamble

Why do you act as if you are ignorant?
Is this a game you like to play?
Well I am little naive in this if I must say.
But let me confess, I have browsed through your photographs so many times,
Now I truly yearn to hear your voice.
I don't even know if you aware of what I feel?
If only I could inquire.
But if I did really inquire would you feel offended?
Or would you simply blush?
I don't know.
The stacks are too high and I hate to gamble.
So I settle for the status-quo,
Sinking into a slumber of restlessness,
Letting the destiny decide it's own course.
