Gamble In Life Poem by Marites Lamban

Gamble In Life

Rating: 5.0

How happy it can be
To feel happiness inside
Least you expected to come
Least you expected to be

You may never understand life
Why things happen in time
By the time least you expected
Loneliness may invade your life

When things go wrong and tough
We sometimes think to give up
To believe on our weaknesses
And to think that we can’t fight

So many times I’ve been passing this
When the world seemed so ruthless
Do I really deserve this?
Is just my usual cry

Why life is like a wheel?
Is it a way to test one’s will?
To conquer one’s fear
When the lowest time comes near

Many times I’ve cried
To release the pain inside
No matter how I’ve tried
I just can’t really hide

It’s not the end of the world for you
Is what they always say
Though I know it won’t be that easy
To conquer one’s frailty

Things do come and
Things may go
Yet one thing for sure
It won’t stay as being wished for

Quite true what you have described in this poetry. Life is full of expectations but expectations do not realized fully in life! Perfect ten. You have the talent, write more!
