Game Poem by prabhakar bhatlekar

Game

Court was set, trial began.
He was ordered to stand
face down.
Eager, excited audience
-except a crying woman
-waiting for the game
they loved.
Charges already fixed
approved by the onlookers.
Questions began, and
he asked
'Why I'm here? '
'You're suppose to answer,
not question! '
Trial went on and on..
'Look, every person indebted
to the society, so you
must entertain paople keeping
that in mind'
With eyes shut he tried
to grasp the situation.
'Hey, you're not allowed
to think'
He opened his eyes,
looked around and smiled.
And then slowly the roar of his
laughter filled the courtroom.
Hysterically he went on laughing.
The stunned audience stood
still and numb
