Gather Truth

Gather truth while it's here for the taking
It's your only reassurance friend
That you have a Saviour named Jesus Christ
Who is the sinner's true Friend
Soak up God's Word like a sponge
You'll need it for meditation
Before the famine of the Word begins
For it's Satan's final ultimation

The father of lies continually lies
The Word! ! ! ...why who needs that? ! ! !
As men continually turn it aside
And set their own destiny trap
Satan wraps his hands with glee
How easily men are deceived
If only they knew the power of truth
They definitely would have believed

Lord Jesus who is the way...truth .and the life
Has an offering of true liberty
He Himself said...ye shall know the truth
And truth shall make you free
Read the gospel of John...chapter 17 verse 17
It's God's Word as our evidence and proof
Sanctify them through thy truth...
Thy Word is truth...

The truth of the matter is it really does matter
What you put in your mind to believe
You could be on a path of a road to destruction
If it's not the truth you receive
Look how the whole world is treating the Bible
They want to put its truth to distain
But praise God His Word will forever abide
And His truth shall forever reign! ! !
