Sometimes I Live Poem by Gary James Smith

Sometimes I Live

Rating: 5.0

Sometimes I Live

Sometimes I live in the land of complaints
And you know it gets me nowhere
I would have been far more wiser
To bring everything to God in prayer
My wife she usually reminds me
" there you go complaining again! "
Just the thing I want to hear
After all I am a man

But then I am convicted
You know? ! ! ...my wife...she's right!
And back to my senses I go again
Making the Lord my chief delight!
Lord help me in my complaining
To remember your prompting...to stop!
And definitely not wait a long time to do it
But to do it right off of the hop!

For You are my greatest Supporter
Look what You've done with my sin
Buried it in the deepest sea
Never to be remembered again
May I count all of my blessings
Then look at my list of complaints
And live the life that's well pleasing to God
A life that's becoming of saints!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
