Gene Autry Oklahoma Poem by Marilyn Lott

Gene Autry Oklahoma

Rating: 5.0

While traveling cross the country
We found a museum that is rare
Any cowboy you can remember
Has made a home in there.

Gene Autry, Oklahoma
Is the name of this tiny town
We loved every single moment
Of the treasures that we found.

There’s a life-sized statue of Champion,
Gene Autry’s beloved horse
Pictures of Roy Rogers and Trigger
And all the sidekicks too, of course.

We drove those worn red roads
From John McCornack’s site
But Gene Autry, Oklahoma
Was truly a delight! !

What a wonderful tribute to the singing cowboys of old! I was especially fond of Mr Autry.
