Genghis Khan Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Genghis Khan

Genghis Khan

I, born and raised
-as child of the village
-in roughness of mountains
-am as are, solid and stubborn
-the trees of deserts and the peaks!

He called me
-I became a Buddha.

This is how I become
-turn into; also want
-to hear what he says.
-Let ears grow large,
-silent, tongue.

He too is one more of
-those who think
-knowing much.

And in times
-he is a treasure
-sets fire and sparks.

Today was
- Genghis Khan.

His grave…

"He was a genius…"
-he said, and I listened:
- "…wanted to…"

I never take him as
-a full and a perfect;
-so, go search…

He had read BBC
-in Farsi

Can't grasp the meanings
-though wants to be leader
-speaking English and French.

I went on site mentioned
-and beyond, many more.

Genghis Khan
-to me is
-one of the too many
-of those who
-stirred world, influenced
-as do the warriors and learned
-politics, scientists.

I do not rush to judge
-neither for
-nor against
-take to mill the harvest.

Genghis Khan is not what
-influenced my friend
-his grave isn't as said comrade.

Genghis Khan's burial
-is same as was Hitler's
-and Nader's
-and swans', and Waris'.
-Majestic as unknown
-left mystic and secret.

Same is of Mohammad
-the Islam's Prophet.

It was, is great way
- "Bury dead as if Earth…
-not with marks in shrines.
- "Don't replace house of God."
-a great idea…let can be my way too.
