Gently I Go Into This Night Poem by Arthor Journer

Gently I Go Into This Night

Rating: 5.0

Gently I go into this night with her voice roaming in my head
My heart seeps out joy where once it bled
The soothing breeze ushers in my aching mind
Her words guarantee peace I will soon find
The full moon is not as full as my soul
For with her touch my mind is made whole
Gently I go into this night with no apprehension or fear
My heart drips with no more pain but joyful tears
The stars compose the perfect back drop
Her assurance lets me know it will never stop
The moon is not as full as my bursting soul
For with her kiss my life is made whole
Gently I go into this night not weighed by the past
My heart beats with happiness that will forever last
The orchestra of frogs and countless crickets
Her thoughts have brought me from the thicket
The moon is not as full as my overflowing soul
For with her eyes my smile is made whole

Oh, to be transported on the wings of love! This is touching, romantic, and full of heartfelt warmth. A beautiful tribute to the one who answers every need with a word, a kiss, or a smile. Total bliss! Linda :)
