Gentry. Poem by Tom Allport

Gentry.

He kept them high
On the top shelf
Tall dark rimmed
Saucer shaped hats
With multi coloured
Ties dangling down
And wore them
With his best suits
To places like
Royal Ascot and Buckingham Palace
What a sight!
My father used to say
Son always remember...
We are Gentry.
