Gerry Lee Days Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Gerry Lee Days

Boogie Woogie and Rock 'n' roll
gave pleasure to the youthful soul
as Gerry Lee Lewis pounded each key
in the long-gone twentieth century.

Oh great balls of fire
Let the good times roll,
for I have found his records
in my special cubby hole.

My collector's double album
brings forth his million-seller ways
and here am I remembering yet
those splendid Jerry Lee Lewis days.

Lucky you, who found those records. I liked your tribute to the good old days.
