Get Over Laugh About Poem by David Howerton

Get Over Laugh About

I've put my foot
in my mouth
to many times
to care what others think.

Leaving a bitter taste
that only goes away
with a healthy dose
of humility.

Though that hasn't stopped me
from turning red
and wishing
I'd kept my mouth shut.

And later I too laugh
because it's funny.

If I can't laugh at me
I'm taking life much to serious.
