Get Rid Of Charities Poem by Johnny Eardley

Get Rid Of Charities

Everyday there is a knock at the door,
Its someone collecting to save the poor,
They want my money, more and more,
Please Get Rid Of Charities.

Everytime you walk in a shop,
Someone tries to get you to stop,
In order to provide someone with a new crop,
Please Get Rid Of Charities.

Every second advert thats on the TV,
Theres a child that brings out the guilt in me,
To provide them with an education for free,
Please Get Rid Of Charities.

Everyday in the post a new letter,
To tell me whose life I can make better,
To provide a well to make an area wetter,
Please Get Rid Of Charities.

Everytime I walk down the street,
I get told bout a famine to beat,
Give my details to a randomer called Pete,
Please Get Rid Of Charities.

Ya may find it cruel what you read today,
But I actualy dont mean it in that way,
So please listen up whilst I have my say,
Please Get Rid Of Charities.

In this day and age it just shouldnt be,
That Children should have to live in poverty,
All it would take would be nations to see,
Please Get Rid Of Charities.

As individual countries we should Unite,
Stop these people having to fight,
In order to gain their human right,
Please Get Rid Of Charities.

If Governments together said 'forget your debt',
Used our resources to stop their upset,
Gave them a life they'd never forget,
We Could Get Rid Of Charities.
