Getting By Poem by Jim Boone

Getting By

BARELY, is enough at 80, so it would seem to younger.
But 90 disagrees and keeps tossing down challenges:
I Am sorely blessed and to all things, there is purpose.

So far, those who 'can be of help' only want my time
And my energy to smile at and feed on regularly.

One who 'saw the light' didn't realize it was 'to transition'
And that those last-times-together 'plans' would never be
Realized this time around - why I did not get my 'hopes' up.

This 'memory man' is running out of 'players' from back in
The day total recall, and surrounded by today's senior moments
And possibilities without revenue, hope or possibilities, but
Many moments with Earth Angels and Guardians. Om sweet Om

There is a story yet to be written and a writer eager to begin
Again on the final journey, chapter, round, act. Good karma is
Yours for the creating and taking back into the Light of Eternity.
