Giant Eye In The Sky Poem by charlotte paulden

Giant Eye In The Sky

giant eye in the sky what do you see,
a man drowning his sorrows in a bottle of whiskey.
a woman being slapped by the man she calls her lover,
a little girl lost, abandoned by her mother,

giant eye in the sky are you happy,
that someone who just wanted to disappear got his wish by just pulling the trigger,
that someone would take a blade to their arm because someone has done them harm,
that someone who knew of no love cried themselves to sleep on the street,

giant eye in the sky do you shed a tear,
for this world is a place one should dread to go near,

giant eye in the sky would you look away,
to see no more of this world and go to another place.
