GIDEON'S ARMY

Now Gideon was a lowly kid
When God said 'Hey! '
He went and hid
But God said he
Was a mighty man,
And Gideon said
'Who, me? '

But God said 'Listen up,
Here's the plan.
The Midianites are rich and armed
They think you cannot cause then harm,

But I've got news for them!

Your little band of guys will show
Your faith in Me will surely grow
And here is what you do,

Silently surround the camp
With only just a few

The clay pots with their candles
Will not shine forth their light
Until the soldiers break them
And trump, and yell and fight.'

The Medianites lost all their nerve
And all of them took flight.

So Gideon and God's army
Survived to show God's light!
