Gift Of Love Poem by Phoenix1 Smith

Gift Of Love

You say I'm your happiness
you, who sincerely love me
made me feel so special
would do anything just
to eagerly let me feel
how much you adore me

I sometimes wonder
what have I done
to deserve this love
wish I could return
this profound affection
that you unselfishly offer

there might be someday
a chance that a speck
in this crazy world of mine
may somehow find a reason
to love you the same way
that you love me now

a day may come to give
us the serendipity needed
for a devotion that is true
and that I may love you
the way it is really meant
for a man with a kind heart

I thank you for this divine
gift that fondly gave me
wings to fly, knowing that
you will catch me if I fall..

I may not love you now,
still will just regard
your love for me as one
of the most special thing
that ever happened to me

thank you my dearest,
dearest friend, thank you
for this undying gift of love..
