Gilded Turban Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Gilded Turban

With gilded turban
I viewed
The three tall figures
Lank
Move on the camels

Erect and unmoving
They
On the moving camels

They from the corner of
Their eyes
Looked at the stars
The sand dunes the
Long stretch of sand
Around
The Sphinxes and the Pyramids
In silhouette film.

But ah! I was dreaming
My sub-conscious its
Own products was
Screening

With gilded turban
I viewed
The three tall figures
Lank
Move on the camels
