Girls Will Be Girls Poem by Greg Costello

Girls Will Be Girls

Rating: 5.0

A sniper by the hot tap lay,
Turned upside-down in battle grey,
Soaking in a pool of water,
Deserted by my impish daughter.
Who'd played with him and his platoon,
The previous day with caring hand,
'Til lured away by Barbie boon,
The soldier left in no-man's-land.

Perfect poem, just like a girl for sure! I can remember doing the same thing with my brother's soldiers, then going off to play Barbie's! Still play Barbie's with my Granddaughters! Always a girl at heart! Great poem, I loved it's innocence and purity of just being a child.10++ Thank you for sharing. RoseAnn
