God loves a cheerful giver
So give back cheerfully
Hold on lightly to this worlds goods
They are held but temporarily.
From dust we came, dust we become
Till we get to meet our Maker
Give, give, joyfully give
Till you meet the undertaker.
Some will think you foolish
If you give while you live here
But God will think you a wiseman
For He loves a cheerful giver.
You may not see this side of heaven
What a treasure it is to bless
But up there yonder on the other side
Lies 'Compound interest'.
So lay up for yourself treasure in heaven
Give all you can while you live
Practice makes perfect, begin today
Give, give, joyfully give!
