The only safe haven
from being prosecuted due to your beliefs,
is to be coated by the flexibility of them.

But what is the use of having beliefs
if there isn't conviction behind them...

That wont work either though

If one can't strip your beliefs from you
cause you've disbanded them
then your life is all that's left,

And to a man who's consolation of mind
hinges on your exsistence,
your life is worth nothing by comparison.

Most would rather drown by forfeit
than to have their mind lost forever at sea

True hopelessness is when giving up is even a fruitless sacrifice
