Glimmer - Poem by Van Huynh

My light at the end of the tunnel
The treasure that I stumble
The love that was crumble
Our love was like an earthquake’s rumble
Broken into pieces and can’t reattach
A hole in a tire that can’t be patch
Like an unborn chick that didn’t hatch
Thought it was reality but it was abstract
It wasn’t meant to be; now there are endless showers
Killing me and preventing the plants to flower
Stuck in the darkness and been called a coward
I’m like superman but I lost my power
Weak and fragile, her love is my strength
Can’t believe a garden just turn into blank
Drowning from alcohol that I drank
Just like Titanic, our ship sank
I’m like a person in ice
But I might as well be since she was my light
There’s a glimmer though still shining bright
I still have my head high in the night
