Global Warming's Real Poem by Tirupathi Chandrupatla

Global Warming's Real

Days've been getting hotter
Day by day and year after year
Global warming's constantly at work
Life on earth turns absolutely unbearable.

Forest fires're raging uncontrollably
Glaciers and icefields're melting rapidly
Polar icecaps break apart raising ocean levels
Coastal map of the globe changes as a result.

Severe drought conditions appear so often
Heat and climate're threatening our health
Our economy and security're severely affected
Future generations'll have no way to carry on.

Global warming's real and detrimental
What can we do to combat the situation
There're things to do as individuals at home
There're broader actions needed at national level.

We must curb carbon emissions at all levels
Let homes, appliances, and transport be energy efficient
Control pollution and apply recycling where possible
Direct politicians to work on the policies needed.
