Glow Worm Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Glow Worm

The Glow Worm

Spoke out
The glow-worm:
It grieves me
It grieves me.'
Stopped.

‘I stop for I am
Sad.
At least
If you throw me
Into oblivion
Trample not on me'

‘Clouds pass
Over moon and stars
And
In the country zones
Benighted yourself
Finding
What light except my
Light
Into that immense dark
And hideous? '

At least if you not
Praise me
Or lesser thank me.
Do not trample on me'

Spoke out
The glow-worm:
It grieves me
It grieves me.'
Stopped.
