God As Man's Friend Poem by Dr John Celes

God is the only one Friend of man -
Who walks ahead, so that He can lead
And I can follow Him on the road
To righteousness towards heaven;

Who walks behind, so that I am not misled,
And He can protect, guide, care for me
In times of peril on earthly terrain;

Who walks beside me as a companion,
Sharing His views and giving good advice,
To keep the body, mind, heart and soul, sound.
