God Bless The Frogs And The Pollywogs Poem by Susan Sparks

God Bless The Frogs And The Pollywogs

God bless the frogs and the pollywogs-
For they are becoming rare.
God bless the frogs and the pollywogs-
Can we find someone who cares?

In 100 years will they all be gone?
Will the amphibians' days and nights be done?
Save the frogs!
Save the pollywogs!

Frogs, toads, newts, salamanders and caecillians-
All these creatures are called amphibians.
What is causing this great decline?
Can humankind save them before the final deadline?

Human beings are mostly to blame
For their habitat destruction;
Amphibians need to reclaim
What rightfully belongs to them.

Quit cutting down forests!
Quit polluting the air!
Man has a vested interest
And a responsibility to care.

God bless the frogs and the pollywogs
Let's find a cure for this deadly disease.
God bless the frogs and the pollywogs-
It's God who we're trying to please.
