God Is Good Poem by Garrett Westcott

God Is Good

I have been given
All that I have
God is my leader
Down every right path
Through summer and winter
Spring and the fall
If I lose my direction
To Him I can crawl

Be it my birthday
Or the day that I die
Everyday is given
A new day is nigh
Be it a truth
Or a morsel of bread
By the hand of Jehovah
Is every mouth fed

The birds in the sky
The bees on the buzz
Are waiting for Jesus
In the Lord do they trust
The bear in the woods
The mouse in his home
Will meet their Savior
No more will they roam

The foes they are many
The peril is great
But the victory is not theirs
Hell is their fate
A sword and a shield
Is God to His people
There they all are
In a church with a steeple

The King of creation
Over all of us rules
Heaven's His throne
And earth is His footstool
He is our Creator
Our Lord and our friend
Serve Him as master
And the war you will win
