He was there when I was born
He will be there also when I die
Through all life's seasons
He has never left my side

God has always been faithful
Though I have not always been so
Even in the darkest night
He has never let me go

I can see Him in the sunshine
On a clear bright summer's day
Whenever I have asked Him
He has always shown the way

Jesus is the Son
Of the true and mighty God
I know someday I will see Him
Thanks to His work upon the cross

God made me one of His children
Upon my brow I bear His seal
God has proven His love and power
God is truly real
