I laugh when i hear them say God's on our side
And on our great achievements we can take great pride
Another war victory we can celebrate
But then some of our egos not hard to inflate
But the demon el nino is lurking around
Sucking life giving moisture out of the dry ground
And a trickle of water only flowing in the stream
And nothing about it we can do 'twould seem,
The great Murray river at an all time low
And the salt pans of the Coorong seem to grow and grow
Yet politicians squabble to seek advantage about the state of the economy
On talking of Global Warming any political adavantage they cannot see
And God is on our side is the quote of the day
Though Nature on our fate has the final say.
