Hasslers for Jesus
Banging on my door
“We’ve come to show you the light”
“To save you from your self”
Wearing airbrushed smiles
And Sunday best
They seem clinically sincere
I observe them with blank indifference
My bemused expression screams
WHAT
They talk of love
They seem so certain
While I am so unsure
Unwelcome
They walk away
I get back to relax and rest
In peace
Ha, the original knock-knock joke. I admit the door knockers do seem the most sincere (clinically sincere, lol- love it!) although the most annoying and persistent. Are the other animals of the kingdom born in sin also, and thus consigned to eternal flames or is that just reserved for us higher thinking primates? Something to think about there..
