God Places Angels In Our Path Poem by JAMES T. ADAIR

God Places Angels In Our Path

Rating: 5.0

Some argue for or against creation
but I choose to see God as salvation
His hand I feel it guide me
To bring out the best inside me

Though I often fail miserably
and feel inside so low
God brings things my way
that he intended for me to know

God blesses those who are most low
You have to be there to understand and know
that God will heal you and help your heart to grow
You must be humble for the message to flow

And though these days I feel sadness and sorrow
I trust in God for a tomorrow
A better man I hope to be
Treating others as I wish they treated me

He's placed Angels along my way
Who have touched me with what they do and say
and remind in their passing
that their touch is lasting

When we make a freind
we mustn't say
forever with me stay
because every friend is bound sometime stray

Life is not always kind..Nobody knows why
and of this let me you remind
we must remember while we share
It's better to live in truth than in a lie

Be happy for the moments that we relate
and be giving rather than berate
Because the time we share is rare
Friends are those who dare to care

All creatures great and small
Its our duty to try to care for all
Though we cannot hold every hand
We can at least try to understand

As a friend we care but can't demand
and should seek to guide
not reprimand
when things in life don't go as planned

How lucky is the person
who can touch another's heart
and seek to give it comfort
rather than break it apart

In time God may grant them the grace
To move from their sad or lonely place
To feel at last the hand of love secure
To soothe their weary hearts once pure

And if oneday love is meant
It will likely be heavensent
And if love is somehow true
forever I'll be loving you

But for now while hearts struggle to mend
I thank God that it was you he did send
To give me comfort to understand and to defend
I count my blessings to find in you a friend

So while I'm lost and so do readily admit
I'm not quite ready to quit
Each time I see your pretty face and feel your grace
I'm reminded that life can be a better place
