God's Children Poem by tcr moon

Scarlet now the fields where
men stood against men;
the bloody pursuit of peace victorious,

and mighty guns are quietened now;
A filed for war, deprived of life,
an ideal worth dying for?

Tell the widows now...

We are all nothing but, God’s children
and in His name we take up arms?

Man against man, ideal against ideal
yet who comes to the most harm?

Scarlet now the field where blood washed,
a field unanimated, devoid of life
now holds only...

our dead...
