One glorious day I went out for a ride
On a summery red dirt road
The sun was a’blazin’ the air so sweet
Put me in sort of a religious mode
I couldn’t have asked for a better day
In which to blend in with God’s creatures
The bees and butterflies fluttered ‘round
I almost saw their tiny features
And God’s flowers, oh the flowers
Were blooming with all their might
They were so bright and fragrant
What a delicious and beautiful sight
God’s fields stretched on for many miles
Some green and some turning brown
It didn’t matter this glorious day
For nothing could bring on a frown
I hope you too can drive along
Yes, drive along in a very casual way
Out in God’s open road
And spend one glorious day!
