God's Grace Poem by Joshua Nzali

God's Grace

Rating: 3.5

When first heard of grace,
Perplexed,
It was quite a different case,
Heard,
Cause I had my own belief,
Attained,

No judgment to a killer,
Giving multi million to a beggar,
Letting free go a prisoner,
Allowing a free escape to a robber,
Heavy rainfall in a desert summer,
Letting a flawless walk away for a Rhino poacher,

Sounds ridiculous but real,
Too good to be true,
That's what most people say anyways,
Minds that cannot comprehend Grace,

The lord looking down from the heavens,
No man righteous on earth,
His spirit saddened by the sins,
His anger kindled by our trespasses,

One man's sacrifice for all,
Hanged on the tree for the world,
Naked as he was in the sight of all,
Though pain and grieve was calm,

The curtains at the holies,
Torn,
Having us into his holies,
Gone,
Having us of his mercies,
Known,
In the trashcan our inequities,
Thrown.
