God's Greatest Gift - Poem by Barbara Marie Mocke
Little baby, you do not know
How much love there is for you.
Long before you even show
You are a person, complete and new.
One person you already know
You hear her heart-beat and her voice.
You feel her mood's both high and low.
Your life depends upon her choice
Just thinking of you makes me glad,
And takes me back to another time
When threat of miscarriage made me sad
Till danger passed and victory was mine.
Birth, a time of great pain
Replaced by an even greater joy.
God's greatest gift, our greatest gain
When we hold our newborn girl or boy!
