God You Come To Our Rescue
God You come to our rescue
When we see no need of our rescuing
You faithfully follow us lovingly
To convict us of our sin
We thwart Your attempts unknowingly
That's just how lost we are
Not willing that any should perish
You enlighten us by Your Word
What Good Shepherd are You Lord
To the sheep who have gone astray
You'll even leave the ninety and nine
For one who's off and far away
And in some quiet moment
At some stillness in the day
You initiate by Your Spirit
To draw near to You and pray
When my heart reconsiders
The path that I have trod
And of Your gracious, kindness, Lord
That led me to You God
So thankful is this heart of mine
That I found Your Providence
And know You drew me to Yourself
It was not happenstance
So now my prayer for others Lord
I trust You will comply
To bring them to the so great Salvation
They need it before they die
For Thou alone O God art great
And greatly to be praised
And whomsoever believes on Christ
Praise God he shall be raised!
Hallelujah what a Saviour!
