Goddess Of Love Poem by Justin Gildow

Goddess Of Love

Rating: 4.5

Sitting on your throne
You beckon me to come forward

I walk pass the candles that are lit
And I stand in front of you

You get up from your throne
And stretch out your wings

I know who you are
You're the goddess of love

You've been with me since my early teen years
Telling me that one day I'll fall in love
No matter how long of a wait it might take me

Regardless of whether I want to believe you or not after all this time
I eventually take you at your word
Realizing I'm not the only lonely hopeless romantic in the world

You hold your arms out to me
And you take me in your arms
Wrapping your wings around me
Blessing me and bestowing many joys upon me
While glitter starts to rain down
