Going Home Poem by debbie gregory

Going Home

GOING HOME
You have gone now
the place wont be the same
just to walk into a room and call your name

I looked forward to visit
only now to miss it
you were there
if we were afar and could'nt be seen
you would worry and fret till we came home
and pray that was the last that we would rome

And stay we did till the next time came
and off we would go far again just to leave you to worry again
upset with us you would get
to leave you alone to worry and fret

Just to hear our voice's would cheer you up
we would ring just to let you know
you would be happy to hear the voice's you had missed
and wait for us to say these words

We were coming home to rome no more
to wave goodbye and close the door
to leave you alone was heartache for you

Each time we left you cried inside
just praying and wishing we would stay by your side

the love you felt was never realy seen

Till the day came and you departed

we always thought you would be there
now home is cold, empty and bare
its your turn to rome far from home
on a journey to peace never to return to be together
we cry and we greive and will miss you so much

We will always rome and can always come home but to see you and hear you...we can never.....
