Going Home Poem by Sharon Ashworth

Going Home

Rating: 4.5

I am ready for the long journey home
I know I won't be going alone
He will be there to comfort me
And prepare a place, just wait and see
I am not afraid any more
I know what I have in store
He has sown me many a time
I keep it handy in my mind
When this world gets me down
All I have to do is look around
And I see Him waiting there
Ready again to show me where
I will be when this life is through
Where I will be, waiting for you

Now this one really snowballs as it goes. 'He' seems just another guy-for better or worse- at first, but in the end there's a lot more there. Like it.

I think this is a really touching and reassuring poem Sharon. Lovely. It's going into my favourites. Thanks for sharing. Best wishes, Seán
