Golden Days Poem by Teresa Dearing

Golden Days

Rating: 5.0

Sonnets of penned passions,
Sing of love's sweet song,
Lingering memories of love,
Golden days gone wrong.

Our hearts desired nothing,
But a time for me and you,
Golden days, with no reality,
Our love we thought so true.

Like sonnets penned in scarlet,
Worn pages, now pink in hue,
Our love was lost forever,
But once it was so true.

But those golden days,
In my heart are always true,
For they are penned in sonnets,
Golden days of me and you.
