Gone Poem by Courtney Noggle

Gone

You sit there, not realizing
It’s been twenty-minutes now.
I'm right outside,
But you can’t see me
Because I’m gone
You get a phone call..
Looking up at the clock,
You realize its past time
Still on the phone
You start to cry
I walk into the room
Calling your name
You don’t respond
Walking up to you
Slowly raising my arm
To touch your face
You stand up and walk out
I cry after you
No response
I realized you walked right through me
You can’t hear me
You can’t see me
I’m gone,
I’m a ghost
Not alive
