Gone Back To His Roots Poem by james watkin

Gone Back To His Roots

One inescapable conclusion
Am I greeted with here;
Through what backwood, pipe-poked through
Humanly does endear.
That one's changed for the better
Wild things who went back to.
The simple, the sacred.. in short
Old truths life learns anew.
