Good By Evil, Time's Work

Rating: 4.8

GOOD BY EVIL, TIME'S WORK

It is amazing
How people with steel-heel shoes
For not a reason
Malign you, bruise your bare toes
Throw you in prison
Still begrudge you in your woes

Though it's for their sake you stayed,
But they left in spite of you
We may blame the game we played
But now who's cruel? who's the fool?

Now for those that want to leave,
I show them the way;
For those that are true to me,
I persuade to stay;
Either way, I'm your enabler,
What do or say, time is my healer.

I love what time does to every saint:
Returns him to Eden through toil and sweat;
Poor things entrapped in their cocoons
With patience will metamorphose;
Ugly creature detested
Turns the children's favourite pet,
Soars in wings most colourful
And fluffs most beautiful!

Is this epiphany? or dementia?
Well, it seems grief has brought me euphoria,
Love shipwrecked threw me across onto utopia-
My sweet world only told with onomatopoeia

If thus, good by evil comes, …

I couldn't care less should the sun fall,
The stars could dim black if they want,
Or all waters enter the sea and the sea ceases to flow,
And everything stands still because the wind wouldn't blow;
Maybe ozone would soon finish
And our skin burn like roast fish,
Well, they're all signs of a new world,
And my hopes are high for a better earth.

In all do and say, I trust time my healer.
