Good Fire Poem by Abdalla Juma Shenga

Good Fire

Rating: 5.0

This fire burning within my chest,
I need it to keep burning and I’ll be best.
This inferno blazing within my chest,
Burns through obstacles and every test.
And when life gives me lemons for a taste,
I’ll make acid to burn inhibitors of my quest.
In darkness it gives me light, I shine away from the rest.

The fire beneath my vest within my beating chest, is honest it never lies,
And I am thankful that it burns, but I can only hope that it never dies.
