Good Friday 2010 - Poem by Tracy WatsonBrown

Gaza is bombed.
Railway strike ballots.
Suicide bomb child,
Widowed at seventeen.
Kisses are sweet-
Evidence of corruption.
Prophesy to us.

Trapped miners heard.
Power cuts persist.
School girl betrayed.
Serbian mass murderer
Accused in court.
Denial of charge,
Trial to begin.

Three soldiers killed.
Mother, your son.
See the man-
He deserves death.
It is finished.
Rooney will heal;
Beckham will not.
